BOSTON, Texas—Sex trafficing has a new source: a ticket for a traffic ticket issued by the Texas Department of Transportation.
Wayfair, the sex-positive lingerie store that is known for offering free sex in its parking lots, is on the receiving end of the new ticket, which has since been suspended.
Wayfair said it has been working with the state agency to resolve the issue.
The new ticket came after Wayfair posted a message on its website in July that was removed from the website, and that it was suspending the company’s online sex service indefinitely.
“The traffic citation was issued for the unauthorized use of Wayfair’s parking lot,” the company said in a statement to Business Insider.
“We were unaware that this was a new ticket issued and we are working with our Texas DMV agency to have it immediately dismissed.”
Wayfair did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
A Wayfair spokesperson told Business Insider that the company does not comment on specific customer service requests.
“Our goal is to ensure that every customer is treated fairly and is satisfied with the service they receive,” the spokesperson said.
Wayland sex-trafficing is another sex-related incident.
A sex-tourist was fined $20,000 in Texas after he was ticketed for traveling through the parking lot of the downtown Houston restaurant he frequents.
A spokesperson for the Department of Motor Vehicles told Business the agency had no comment on the incident.
In December, a driver was fined more than $100,000 for allegedly traveling through Wayfair parking spaces without a permit.
The man, identified by the Houston Chronicle as Johnnie Lee, said he had just purchased a ticket when he was pulled over by officers.
He was later released.
In January, a man in Oklahoma was fined over $200,000 after he had sex in a Wayfair lane while parked.
Wayrestory told The Daily Caller News Foundation that it does not have an employee who is sexually active, and the company has not responded to requests for comment about this particular case.
In November, the state of Texas fined a woman $50,000 following an incident in which she was ticketing a man for parking in a parking spot while he was parked in a nearby Wayfair lot.
Wayrestory’s website said it is not responsible for the actions of other customers who are in violation of the terms of their parking permit.
“If you are ticketed, it is up to you to contact the DMV for an explanation,” the website said.
“You are responsible for making sure that you do not enter a Wayrestories parking spot and that you have a valid permit.”
The Texas Department Of Transportation is now investigating the Wayfair traffic citation.
