It has been almost five months since the first Sacramento Kings preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Kings’ last defeat in the NBA came on December 2, when the Bucks lost to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Since then, the Kings have been in the middle of a rebuilding process, and they will be looking to make a playoff push this season.
But the Kings also have to win their first game of the year, and that is not expected to happen until February 11.
With that in mind, the Sacramento Kings have taken to their social media to announce the following:#BeTheKings #TheBiggerGame #SacramentoKingsLive The Kings are taking a new approach to the 2017 preseason.
It’s a new look for Sacramento, as they have been playing out of the same three-man box for a year and a half.
In the past year, they have moved from their traditional 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2, as well as adding some other pieces such as a center, power forward and a point guard.
All of these changes have put a lot of pressure on the Kings’ backcourt, which is not good news for the team.
After losing their top two centers (Jared Sullinger and Jared Dudley), the Kings will now be forced to find a solution for the position of starting center.
The Sacramento Kings are in need of a reliable big man, and their best options so far are rookie point guard Ben McLemore and veteran point guard Matt Barnes.
But it appears as though they will not be able to keep Barnes in the starting lineup, as he has been traded to the Brooklyn Nets.
The Brooklyn Nets have been rumored to be interested in McLemores contract, as the team is looking to move away from the max contract the Kings are under right now.
The Nets also have big money signings like guard J.J. Redick, as both Redick and rookie center DeMarre Carroll have signed multi-year deals with the Nets.
However, the Nets will not have a long-term commitment for the player until after the season, as Redick has a team option for 2019-2020.
McLemory, meanwhile, is coming off an impressive season, averaging 15.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
With all the talent on the roster, the New York Knicks should be able hold off the Brooklyn franchise in the West, especially since the Knicks are not considered to be a team with the potential to compete with the Kings for the title.
So, will the Sacramento Republics make the playoffs?
Probably not, as their record in the preseason is very poor.
Sacramento’s record in preseason games is currently: 1-8.
#Sacramentans #NBACup #NBAELEAGUE #NBAAthletesThe Kings are still without their starting big man and their backup center for at least another year.
However if they can bring back the veteran point guards, they could be one of the favorites in the East.
In fact, the two point guards in question would be Ben McLemsons and Ben Gordon, who are both considered as solid players in the league.
McLemsers potential value as a point forward is evident in the fact that he averaged 20.7 points per game in the regular season.
He is a very effective shooter, as evidenced by his 41.6% three point percentage, which ranked fifth among all players.
Gordon was a reliable scorer as well, averaging 17.4 per game and scoring 5.3 points per contest.
Both players could provide a boost to the Sacramento defense, which was atrocious in the previous season.
They finished in the bottom of the league in defensive rating and in the top half of the NBA in steals per game, which made the Kings a lot worse defensively than they were last season.
This season, they will have a lot to improve on defensively, but they will certainly still be a tough out to the Kings.
